Roundup: Iran's COVID-19 cases near 390,000; Iraq reports highest 4,299 daily coronavirus recoveries

CAIRO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases approached 390,000 in Iran on Monday. Meanwhile, Iraq reported 4,299 new recoveries from the coronavirus, the highest in a single day since the outbreak of the disease.

Iran, the hardest-hit country in the Middle East region, reported 2,152 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 388,810.
