WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. unemployment rate continued to drop in August, reflecting the slow recovery of the nation's pandemic-ravaged labor market. But analysts said the momentum seems to be fading, with an uncertain path hinging on the virus.
U.S. employers added 1.4 million jobs in August, and the unemployment rate dropped to 8.4 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported Friday. The job growth is smaller than that in July and June, which saw 1.7 million and 4.8 million jobs added respectively.
