QUITO, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Ecuadoran Ministry of Public Health announced on Friday that the country has registered 112,141 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 6,504 deaths, with 922 new cases and 33 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Additionally, the ministry said that there are another 3,722 deaths that were likely caused by COVID-19, but these have yet to be confirmed.
