VALLETTA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Central Bank of Malta warned on Thursday that some banks in Malta could face trouble if the COVID-19 pandemic stretches out for too long.
In a special report on the effect of the pandemic on Malta's financial stability, the Central Bank of Malta warned that COVID-19-related disruptions were expected to be significant and that a prolonged low-interest rate environment would negatively affect banks' future profitability.
