(Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Justice said on Wednesday that a federal civil rights investigation had been opened into the shooting of a Black man by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, earlier this week that has touched off days of protests.
The shooting of Jacob Blake Jr., 29, is also being investigated by the Wisconsin Justice Department. Blake survived the shooting but was left partially paralyzed.
