LONDON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 1.72 percent, or 103.75 points, to close at 6,154.34 points.
GVC Holdings, a multinational sports betting and gaming group, soared 9.64 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. International Consolidated Airlines Group and ITV increased by 8.43 percent and 5.84 percent, respectively.
