MAPUTO, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Mozambique's Health Authorities declared on Monday that the country's capital Maputo registered community transmission of COVID-19, following the northern cities of Nampula and Pemba.
Contributing over 25 percent of all COVID-19 cases in the country, the city of Maputo has met all the requirements to be declared as a community transmission spot according to the criteria by World Health Organization, said the Health Minister Armindo Tiago on a press conference in Maputo.
