FRANKFURT, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 333.62 points, or 2.71 percent, to close at 12,646.98 points.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.94 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and reinsurance company Munich Re gained by 4.44 percent and 4.18 percent respectively.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero was the only loser among the blue chips, by falling 5.45 percent.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 325.34 million euros (381.49 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 2.44 percent to close at 0.799 euros per share on Monday.
