MADRID (Reuters) - A heatwave hit Europe on Thursday just as Madrid made wearing masks compulsory to prevent a surge in coronavirus infections, and Julian Martinez said his beard wasn't making it any easier to keep his face covered in the heat. But the 60-year-old Spanish civil servant wasn't taking his mask off.
"I've been wearing a mask for so many days in the heat that it doesn't bother me that much," he said.
