BANGKOK -- Thailand's Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reassured the public Saturday that the six Thai soldiers who tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Hawaii are currently in state quarantine centers.

TOKYO -- The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Japan topped 30,000 on Saturday, according to the latest figures from the health ministry and local authorities, with the figure including cases from the Diamond Princess cruise ship that was quarantined in Yokohama near Tokyo.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Economies participating in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) reaffirmed the prioritization of economic recovery from the COVID-19 outbreak following a virtual meeting chaired by Malaysia on Saturday.
