Roundup: COVID-19 cases in Iran surpass 286,000; Lebanon receives medical donation from Chinese peacekeepers

CAIRO, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases exceeded 286,000 in Iran on Friday. Meanwhile, the medical unit of Chinese peacekeeping forces donated medical equipment and medicines to Lebanon.

Iran, the hardest-hit country in the Middle East region, reported 2,489 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 286,523.
