Belgium announces new measures to curb rebound of COVID-19 pandemic

BRUSSELS, July 23 (Xinhua) -- The rebound of the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium has forced the National Security Council (NSC) not to activate Phase 5 of deconfinement, and extend the requirement on mask wearing, Prime Minister Sophie Wilmes announced here at a press conference on Thursday.

The decision of the NSC came after several indicators have shown a rebound in COVID-19 infections in Belgium.
