Parts of U.S. will need longer-term focus on coronavirus containment, Pence says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said on Friday that some areas of the United States will need to continue to focus on efforts to rein in coronavirus even after the Trump administration decides portions of the country can ease up on containment efforts.

"Let me be very clear, there is going to be areas of the country where we need to continue to lean into mitigation efforts," Pence told CNBC.
