(Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday granted emergency use approval for state public health laboratories to start testing for the new flu-like coronavirus from China using kits developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The approval may help speed up testing in the United States for the virus, which has infected 11 people in the country as of Feb. 3.
