(Reuters) - Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was released from a Georgia hospital on Wednesday where he had been undergoing treatment for a urinary tract infection, his spokeswoman said.
"He said he looks forward to further rest and recovery at home in Plains, Georgia. He and Mrs. Carter wish everyone peace and joy this holiday season," Deanna Congileo, Carter's press secretary at the Carter Center in Atlanta, said in a statement.
