(Reuters) - Japan will withdraw from the International Whaling Commission (IWC) in a bid to resume commercial whaling, Kyodo News reported on Thursday, citing government sources.
Japan's withdrawal from the IWC is planned for 2019 and will be announced by the end of this year, according to the report.
