Student bakes, shares cookies containing grandparent’s ashes

SACRAMENTO (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): A teen student shocked his school after baking the cremated remains of a grandparent into cookies and sharing them with classmates.

The student came from the DaVinci Charter Academy in Sacramento, California, USA. Davis city police said at least nine students ate the ash-laced cookies, according to a report by CBS Sacramento.
