JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The United States plans to open a new embassy in Jerusalem in May to coincide with Israel's 70th anniversary.

The move, which the U.S. State Department called an "historic step," follows President Donald Trump's Dec. 6 decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
