SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Thursday said he wanted to decide quickly lawsuits challenging the Trump administration's decision to end a programme that shielded from deportation children brought to the United States illegally by their parents.
President Donald Trump this month decided to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programme, or DACA, in March 2018. Since it was authorized in 2012 by President Barack Obama, the programme has provided protection from deportation and the right to work legally to nearly 800,000 young people.
