OTTAWA: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently released a series of photos showing his adorable three-year-old son having a run of the office.

The photos, which were posted on Facebook on Thursday, show Trudeau and his son Hadrien racing down corridors and playing peek-a-boo.

Hadrien was also pictured sitting at the prime minister's desk and greeting politicians and the press.

The photos drew more than 5,000 comments from netizens, many of whom gushed over the toddler and his equally charming father.

One commenter said: "I'm old enough to remember seeing photos released of you and your dad (former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau) when you were little".

Others compared Mr Trudeau with American president Donald Trump.

One person asked: "Prime Minister Trudeau, will you adopt America?"

Internet-savvy Trudeau, 45, has received widespread praise for welcoming Syrian refugees to Canada. He is also a self-described feminist, and in 2016 became the first Canadian prime minister to march in a gay pride parade. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
