Soviet poet Yevtushenko dies in USA - TASS

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian poet Evgeny Yevtushenko has died in the United States at the age of 85, TASS news agency reported on Saturday, citing a close friend.

"Five minutes ago, Evgeny Aleksandrovich (Yevtushenko) departed into eternity," TASS said, quoting Mikhail Morgulis, a friend of Yevtushenko's who said he had spoken to his son.
