LJUBLJANA (Reuters) - Slovenia's parliament stripped imprisoned opposition leader and former prime minister Janez Jansa of his status as a lawmaker on Wednesday, after months of political wrangling over his position.

Jansa, popular with conservative voters in the euro zone country, was elected to parliament in a snap election in July while he was serving a two-year prison term for bribery.
