JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesian election officials said on Tuesday that Jakarta Governor Joko "Jokowi" Widodo would be the next president of Southeast Asia's largest economy.
The Elections Commission said Jokowi beat ex-general Prabowo Subianto by 6 percentage points in the July 9 presidential election, the closest ever in Indonesian history.
