(Reuters) - Seven people were killed and another five injured in the shooting spree at Washington's Navy Yard on Monday, according to a preliminary report cited by a U.S. official.

The situation surrounding the shooting was still fluid and under investigation, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
