NEW YORK (Reuters) - Prosecutors asked a judge to hold Dominique Strauss-Kahn in custody on sexual assault charges on Monday and said they are investigating whether the IMF chief may have engaged in similar conduct once before.
Strauss Kahn made his first appearance before a judge to face charges of trying to rape a Manhattan hotel maid in a case that has altered France's political landscape and left the IMF in turmoil.
