ABIDJAN (Reuters) - U.N. workers in Ivory Coast have found the bodies of more than 100 victims of brutal killings, a discovery that threatened to undermine presidential claimant Alassane Ouattara as he moves to control the country.
French helicopters struck the compound of Ivory Coast's rival Laurent Gbagbo in the main city Abidjan in the early evening, hours after an attack by Gbagbo's forces on the nearby residence of the French envoy, witnesses said.
