TOKYO (Reuters) - British Foreign Secretary William Hague called on Thursday for a diplomatic offensive to swell trade and investment and strengthen Britain's tentative economic recovery.
Hague, who took office two months ago as part of a coalition government, said he had written to all 15,000 employees of the Foreign Office urging them to step up efforts to drum up business for Britain, which is recovering slowly from a deep recession.
