MUSCAT (Reuters) - Tropical Cyclone Phet roared toward the coast of Oman and was expected to make landfall late on Thursday at the earliest before barrelling toward the oil-exporting Gulf Arab state's LNG facilities.
Phet weakened from a Category 4 cyclone to a Category 3, with peak winds at 120 mph (190 kph), and was expected to drop to a Category 2 in the next 12 hours, according to storm risk forecasts shown on the website www.tropicalstormrisk.com.
