BANGKOK (Reuters) - An unknown number of people were admitted to hospital in Bangkok's Silom business district on Thursday night, medical sources said, less then 30 minutes after a loud explosion and gunfire were heard in the area.
Witnesses heard a loud blast followed by bursts of automatic gunfire near the heavily guarded Silom area, which is close to an encampment occupied by thousands of anti-government protesters.
