VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict has accepted the resignation of Bishop John Magee of Cloyne, Ireland, who has been accused of mishandling reports of sexual abuse in his diocese, the Vatican said on Wednesday.
Magee, 73, once served in Rome as personal secretary to Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul I and Pope John Paul II.
