SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.6 earthquake was recorded southeast of Indonesia's Sumatra island in an area where a devastating quake hit last September, the U.S. Geological Service reported on Tuesday.
There was no immediate report of damage from the quake which was reported at a depth of 20.5 miles (33 km) under the sea, 57 miles southeast of the Sumatran city of Bengkulu.
