TALLINN (Reuters) - The United States criticised on Thursday Russian threats to deploy tactical missiles near the Polish border and the NATO military alliance said it would press for closer ties with Ukraine.
Moscow is at odds with Washington over its plan to install parts of a missile defence shield in eastern Europe and with NATO over former Soviet Ukraine's ambition to join the military alliance, fearful Russian security would be threatened.
