Thailand starts long Thaksin extradition process

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand has begun the lengthy process of trying to extradite former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and revoke his diplomatic passport after he skipped bail this week and went into exile in London.

Foreign Minister Tej Bunnag said a Supreme Court arrest warrant issued on Monday meant the government would cancel the 59-year-old billionaire's diplomatic travel documents, which he is entitled to hold as a former prime minister.
