Korean plane makes emergency landing in Japan

TOKYO (Reuters) - A Korean Air plane made an emergency landing at an airport on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, broadcaster TBS said on Thursday.

There were 322 people aboard the airliner, which TV showed landed at Shin Chitose airport.

The plane was bound for New York, the company said in South Korea. It gave no reason for the emergency landing.
