PARIS (Reuters) - The year 2008 could be particularly hazardous for journalists covering elections in several countries including Pakistan, Russia, Iran and Zimbabwe, with a big risk of physical attack and arrest, a media watchdog said on Wednesday.
In an annual report on press freedom worldwide, Paris-based Reporters Without Borders (RSF) denounced China, which it said was ratcheting up pressure on journalists who exposed human rights abuses ahead of the Beijing summer Olympics.
