JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The Palestinian president will press Israel's prime minister on Tuesday to halt settlements and army raids as they try to salvage a U.S.-backed peace process on the eve of a visit from its sponsor, President George W. Bush.
Six weeks have passed since Bush launched the first talks in seven years in Annapolis, Maryland with the aim of clinching a deal on Palestinian statehood before he leaves the White House in 2009.
