TAIPEI (Reuters) - Two tuberculosis patients from Taiwan who defied a flight ban to travel to mainland China via Hong Kong have been returned to an outlying island of Taiwan, Taiwanese health officials said on Tuesday.
The husband and wife left Nanjing in China's eastern Jiangsu province on Sunday by ambulance after checks showed their condition allowed them to travel, Chiu Chan-hsien, an official from Taiwan's Centers for Disease Control, told reporters.
