CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (Reuters) - Mounted atop a jumbo jet, U.S. space shuttle Atlantis began a cross-country flight from California on Sunday, and NASA officials said it should arrive back home in Florida as early as Monday.
The shuttle landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California on June 22 after a 14-day construction mission to the International Space Station.
