GENEVA (Reuters) - The U.N. refugee agency appealed on Monday for $60 million to help some half a million Iraqis being driven from their homes in the violence in their country.
The funds will be used to help the most vulnerable among what is expected by the end of the year to be a total of 4.3 million people either living abroad, mainly in neighbouring Arab states, or displaced inside Iraq, the UNHCR agency said.
