Former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, who won the Nobel prize in 2000, made the application on Friday together with 11 other Nobel winners in eight countries, including Poland's Lech Walesa and 2003 winner Shirin Ebadi of Iran, a Kim aide said.
"It was rejected as soon as it was submitted," the aide said by telephone on Saturday. She said it was not clear yet if any of the others have been granted visas.
