VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran's agreement to let U.N. inspectors check its records on uranium enrichment may assist a probe into its nuclear work but only scratch the surface of what the West fears is a disguised bid for atom bombs, analysts say.
The gesture came to light at an International Atomic Energy Agency meeting that shelved Iran's request for IAEA aid for a reactor project, underscoring mistrust of its intentions. Iran now faces the risk of sanctions at the U.N. Security Council.
