BEIJING/TAIPEI (Reuters) - Typhoon Kaemi slammed into China on Tuesday, leading to the evacuation of hundreds of thousands, after triggering floods and cutting off power in parts of Taiwan.
Kaemi made landfall at 0750 GMT near Jinjiang city in the southeastern province of Fujian, bringing strong winds and rain in its wake, the official Xinhua news agency said.
