MANILA (Reuters) - President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will sing the praises of her government's economic achievements and plans for the Philippines in her annual speech to the nation on Monday, more politically secure than she was a year ago.
According to her officials, Arroyo will announce the creation of four "mega regions" to link affinities in natural resources, infrastructure and tourism, as well as a high-technology corridor running from north to south.
