BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's Constitutional Court refused on Thursday to launch an inquiry which could have led to the dismissal of billionaire Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, a judge on the 14-member panel said.
"The court voted eight to six to reject the petition," Judge Jumpol na Songkhla told Reuters after it met to debate a petition from 28 senators which alleged that Thaksin controlled Shin Corp. despite handing over his shares before taking office.
