CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian government lawmaker was lambasted on Tuesday after she said an effective ban on an abortion drug should not be scrapped because the country was already "aborting itself" into a Muslim nation.
Former veterans affairs minister Danna Vale said she was concerned about the ramifications abortion would have for the future make-up of Australia, where Muslims currently make up 1.5 percent of the population of 20 million.
