CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday ordered a company that collected human tissues to cease operations, citing "deficiencies" in its donor policies that may have exposed transplant patients to disease.
No one has yet been diagnosed with any infectious disease contracted from tissues collected from funeral home cadavers by Biomedical Tissue Services Ltd. of Fort Lee, New Jersey, the FDA said.
