NEW YORK (Reuters) - Millions of New Yorkers went to work under the threat of a potentially crippling subway strike on Friday after a strike deadline passed without a walkoff by transit workers.
Subway trains and buses continued to run while leaders of the Transport Workers Union weighed the latest offer from the state-run Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
