Indonesia confirms 12th human case of bird flu

JAKARTA (Reuters) - A 16-year-old Indonesian boy has tested positive for the H5N1 avian flu virus, making him the 12th confirmed case among humans in the country, a health official said on Saturday. 

"We have received a laboratory test from Hong Kong and the results were positive," said Hariadi Wibisono, a senior official at the Health Ministry, adding the patient was being treated at a hospital in Bandung in West Java province.
