HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnam accelerated the slaughter of poultry in two major cities on Tuesday, the deadline for an end to raising fowl there, as it tries to stop the spread of bird flu which might have infected three more people in the north.
The Tuoi Tre newspaper said a 75-year-old woman died at a Hanoi hospital last Thursday with symptoms similar to bird flu and tests for the H5N1 virus were under way.
