COLOMBO (Reuters) - Victims of last year's devastating tsunami are getting more aid than people caught in other "silent" conflicts and disasters around the world, and any donations should be shared by all in need, a U.N. official said.
In Sri Lanka, those who fled two decades of brutal civil war are getting little help while aid agencies flock to help tsunami victims in the same area, Dennis McNamara, director of the U.N.'s Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs international displacement division, told reporters.
